  1. accomplishes? What does it exactly do/tell TMPGEnc about the movie?

Also, why the heck am I getting French script across TMPGEnc's screen while re-encoding?? I'm pretty sure I stripped 1 language (English) and 1 audio stream (ac3).. ?? Thanks.

The templates (.mcf files), are a set of parameters that help load your settings quickly. You'll notice the wizard asking for a format like DVD,SVCD,VCD etc......

The wizard simply picks up the corresponding template (.mcf) and loads it. The great thing about the templates is that if you have a specific setting that you liked (ie: aspect ratios, bitrates, VBR, CBR encoding), then you could save it as blabla.mcf. The next time you start up Tmpgenc, just load in blabla.mcf and you are ready to go......

  3. Ahh, yes.. Thanks! Now I understand why there are some asking which is the best template..

Is there a definitive answer yet whether the TMPGEnc template that IFOedit creates works for NTSC films?? From reading, my understanding is that it works very well for PAL but not NTSC. I've tried several times to load the IFOedit-created-template (v.88 AND v.95) into TMPGEnc with NO success whatsoever..

So last nite, I used the NTSC template from Antonio S.'s site and TMPGEnc accepted it without any problem or delay. However, when the re-encoding began, I saw both English and French texts rolling across TMPGEnc's screen..?? But I only ripped the English/AC3 audio stream..

Any ideas where I went wrong?
