  1. Hi,

I'm trying to convert DiVX into SVCD/VCD. The conversion is working OK: audio is in sync, no problems while playing or burning.

HOWEVER: the SVCD/VCD version of the movie on TV (and also on PC when I play it on PC) changes colours. They start OK but during a period of about 10 secs the colours fade into a kind of light purple. Then they are fine again and it fades again. This continues throughout the entire movie. The quality itself is fine. The 10 secs look for me related to the 300 frames between each full frame in DIVX????

What am I doing wrong???? The problem is in both versions: convert to VCD and SVCD. Both for PAL and NTSC.

I had previously the problem when playing the SVCD that it stuttered, but not changing the framerates solved this one and is OK now.

I use: TMPGenc to encode, Nero to burn, VirtualDub 1.4.12 to frameserve and DVobSub to insert the subs into the picture (add filter in VirtualDub).

    PLEASE HELP.

    You could try this http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=426930#426930
    If that does not help
Uninstall angel portion codec if you have it installed.
Uninstall nimo codec pack if you have it installed.
Only install the video codecs you need.
In tmpgenc increase the directshow prirority, www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc#problems

And please use our forum search engine next time...a search for purple would have give you lots of tips.

  3. Thanx for your edit. I did some searches (on 'colours',...) but unfortunately not on purple, pink, etc.

I will try it (though I didn't install Angelportion): remove Nimo and install only the codecs needed.

    :P

    Thanx.
