Hi,
after my firmware-update to 1.0f I am offered burning-speeds of 1x, 2.4x and 3.1x - is that possible?
I always thought - no matter what the REAL burning speed in the end was - the choice in the burning softwares options should be something like 1x, 2x, 4x ?
In that case, I was using a Sony DRU500A (BB), Firmware 1.0f, with FUJI +R media, burning with IMGtools latest version (that actually uses the engine on NERO 5.10, that is installed on my computer)
btw: I have also successfully burned Intenso -R, SONY +RW

Maybe you should contact vendor of your burning program. It looks like bug to me. But I might be wrong.
Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -
I see the same thing (3.1x) but only without a disc in and in Nero 5.5.9.17.0, as soon as I pop a DVD+R/RW in the only option is 2.4x, guess maybe a bug in the software

I seem to recall reading in another forum that this problem is a Nero problem. If you upgrade to the absolute newest edition of Nero, I don't think that you will see this....
