I have been doing a lot searching with no luck.Maybe someone here can give me an answer. When creating a jpg image to use in vcd or dvd, is there a particular resolution (dpi) that works best? I know 72 dpi is recommended for web sites and 150 dpi is good for ink jet printers. What about images that will be displayed on TV?

DPI doesn't really matter when you're dealing with VCD stills. They have a fixed resolution, regardless of TV size. DPI also can't really be applied to an image with rectangular pixels instead of square ones.
