  1. Just wondering if anyone can help me on ripping Parent Trap. I use DVD Decrypter 3.14 and ripped the default files out to HD. I then use IFOEdit0.95 and stripped out Angle 2, kept only 1 audio and no Subvideo. When I look at the new files, in IFOEdit it shows, for example, [Ch19] [Pg 19] [Cell 19] [V/C Id: 1/13] and then another cell would be like this [cell20] [V/C Id:2/13] Both are the exact same video. What's the 1 and 2 means following the ID. Is it the Angle number? But I already stripped out Angle 2 and only left with Angle 1. How do I get rid of it. Any experts? Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you didn't rip it correctly. Try SmartRipper, it should rip program 1 correctly.

  4. Thanks, I will give Smartripper a try. I have ripped about 5 movies with Decrypter and this is the only one I have problem with. I will see what Smartripper can do.
    Thanks,.

  5. My guess would be that it's not a multi-angle VTS, but a multi-PGC VTS. In other words, rather than allowing you to choose alternate camera angles it allows you to choose alternate versions of the same movie.

This technique is typically used to select between the PG and R-rated versions of a movie using the same disc. In conjunction with the DVD player's parental controls it can allow Junior to see a sanitized version of some film while you get to enjoy the full monty. However, the same capability can be used to branch to different program chains in the manner of a choose-your-own-ending book: if you want the parents to get together at the end, press 9, if you want them to stay apart, press 0 and so forth.

The trick in ripping such a film would be to piece together the parts of the program chain corresponding to the version of the film you want to convert. That's no doubt easier said than done, but it sounds like it's what you'll end up having to do.

  6. GROYAL, I think you maybe right. I wanted to do manual removal of the second video. However, I can't do it on IFOedit. I click on the Cell, ID part of the video I wanted to removed and Click on delete from playback but it does nothing to the video. It sounds like it needs more work that that. Besides, half of the 6.5G file is a duplication of videos. I don't know how and the easy way to do it. Anyone knows, I am open to suggestions.
    Thanks,.
