  1. I have some SVCDs that play perfectly well on my computer (using PowerDVD), but when I play them on my standalone DVD player (Thomson DTH-210E) the audio is slightly out of sync (some half a second constant delay from the image). I've tried demultiplexing and multiplexing again the AVSEQ01.MPG file, but always the result plays ok on the computer and gets that annoying audio delay on the Thomson DVD player.

Why is it happening?? I assume the SVCDs are ok because PowerDVD can play them whitout any sync problem. Also, my Thomson can play other SVCDs without the audio delay. Therefore, the SVCDs that get out of sync on the Thomson must have some special characteristic that produce the audio delay. I'm trying to figure what's that special characteristic and how to correct it in order to make SVCDs that will play without sync problems both on my computer and my DVD player.

Any ideas??? Every suggestion will be very welcome!

    Thanks,

    Toni

I had this problem with SVCD's, I solved it by running the mpg file
through Tmpenc Simple multiplex, before burning to the CD_R in Nero.

    Worked for me

  3. Thanks for the answer Colindale. In fact I do the same you suggest, but it only works in some cases. I use TMPGenc to demultiplex and then multiplex again the AVSEQ01.MPG file, and burn the new SVCD with Nero. But some ones still have the sync problem when I play them on the Thompson, while they play well on the computer...
