  1. sorry guys but i'm fairly new to vcd encoding/burning, so bear with me please. i tried using vcdimager to create bin/cue images of my mpg to burn to standard vcd. The mpg plays fine on my comp. But after i burned the bin/cue image with Nero and tried it on my standalone dvd player, i noticed the movie had frames missing or overlapping... in a continuous and wat looks like a repeating pattern. How can i fix this? or should i just give up using vcdimager and burn with Nero directly. At least that method works. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks

If you're a newbie, I disadvise you to use VCDimager.
VCDimager is very powerfull but only commandline interface, so you must know all necessary settings etc. If you're a newbie, use Nero directly and create your menus directly in that.
Or you could use WinOnCD (with the integrated VideoPack) to authore your VCD's.
Only if you can find a good GUI for VCDimager and you use the correct software for writing the bin/cue onto CD (Nero supports that, but you'll better use 'DirectCD', 'WinOnCD' or 'Easy CD Creator'), it should be fine.

I would say, try out my VCDImager GUI - but better use some other software, while my application is still in development and beta-testing phase.

  3. TSCV (See Tools link to the left) is a very good front-end for VCDImager, especially if all you want is chapters and not menus.

I've heard that burning bin/cue with Nero doesn't work all that well - Try using CDRWin and see if you're burns are better - I use TSCV and CDRWin and have had no problems.
