    I am trying to encode with TMPGenc but keep getting "index of scan line is out of range (240). I don't know what this means or how to correct it.

    Hope someone can help.

    check the AVI for junk frames.

    Thanks. Have checked for bad frames and none were reported. What else can I do.

    Did you use Vdub MP3 or the normal Vdub...

    TMPGEnc
    Option > Environmental settings > VFAPI plug-in > DirectShow MM File reader
    Right click and select higher priority, do that several times until its at the top with a value of 4
