  1. Tried:
    From graphedit using avimux and filewriter -> bad framerate and VirtualDub gives an "Codec missing.." errormessage when opening the newly converted .avi.
    ASFTools. The converted filesize is larger than the original and does not playback video, only audio.
    I'v heard that the new WM9 codec refuces to play video out of the avi container and will only accept data coming from wmv, is this true? If so, we would need a 'modified' wmv9 decoder to be used with the ASFTools converted avi.

    The idea is to backup a DVD using WMV9 videocodec and AC3 audio, and to my knowledge muxing AC3 with wmv is not possible since all muxers that I know of (all one of them, NanDub) that can handle AC3 can't handle wmv/asf.

    Any advice is appriciated.

  2. did u try and see if it'll play in Windows media player (mplayer2)?

    You may need the VCM codec, here
