    IS there any difference in quality, compatibilty etc.. I have a Pioneer A05 as well, so I have a bunch of 4x media that I use for that. Since they cost more than 2x and x I was wondering if using 2x or 4x is just wasting money.

    I also recommend 1X DVD-R blank discs sine they work just fine for me.

    make sure they are not bad quality discs of course.

    There is a DVD media forum to check in.
