Sounds like AC3 audio, did you install any AC3 codecs?

    See if this works.
Uninstalled all DivX codecs and xvid codecs,(Nimo Pack etc.)
You can then install xvid codecs from here:
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html

Then install all DivX codecs separat (Not from Nimo).
    http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html

After that install Nimo Pack but uncheck all divx codecs and the xvid codec and also uncheck a direct show filter which is Ffdshow DirectShow
    Install Nimo from here:
    http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/

    Now all should work fine!

By the way,AC3 comes with the Nimo Pack and I installed this with
Nimo Pack Build 8,not the new Build 9.

And if the movie is a xvid, then you have to change the enviromental settings in TMPGEnc.I have TMPGEnc 2.58 and this is my enviromental settings when I try to encode a xvidmovie:

  10. Crack_man,

I read your post and had a question:

    See if this works.
Uninstalled all DivX codecs and xvid codecs,(Nimo Pack etc.)
You can then install xvid codecs from here:

I'm having the same problems Bob was, tmpgenc will not load the dv2 files and I've done everything and nothing works.

How or where do you uninstall the DivX codecs and xvid?

From your post above, you can see "un supported" and its 48Khz, this is normally AC3

Thanks for your link...but that does not help my problem.

I have ripped numerous DVD's with the method I'm using, but for some reason it just stopped working. I use SmartRipper 2.40, then I use DVD2AVI 1.76 and then I use tmpgenc 2.58. But for some reason tmpgenc stopped recognizing the dv2 files. It would not even show them in the video browse field. Someone suggested copying the DVD2AVI.vfp plugin into the tmpgenc directory...I did that and now they show up. But when I click on one of the dv2 files, it still says cannot open or unsupported file.

Some other ppl have said make sure the tmpgenc.vfp is installed into Windows registry...I can't find anywhere of how to do this or how to check this, but that file is in my tmpgenc directory and shows up under the VFPI Plugins...actually there are two showing up 2.58 and 2.59. I tried upgrading to 2.59 after it stopped working and that didn't work either.

If you have any codecs left which you installed before, then you just have to uninstall the codecs from the control panel and then install all codecs which I posted on my first replie.

It is best not to use Nimo, however installing trialwear or spywear is not the answer either. Only install Full version codecs and filters.

I am sure they are all on kaZaA 8)
