ive gone in circles with the FAQ and i end up back here.... how do i make the MPEG2 into an MPEG1 (i think i have like every video converting software around from all the "use this" links i get and then it will say "but to do this u have to use this program" the program that is usually my original problem)

okay oaky
I found some more guides and did the header trick, ive tried the Multiplex and the Merge & Cut option but when i put the CD in my DVD player it is choppy as hell, xcept for the 1st like quarter of a second if i pause and un-pause it, it runs fine (mind u this is for a quarter of a second)
how do i encode it so it isnt choppy, i read something about chaning bitrates and such but what should i change it to (i have a pioneer dv-o5) -
Some players support VCDs but don't support SVCDs. Make sure that your DVD player supports the medium that you are burning. There are some "tricks" that you can do, like the VCD Header Trick. But this doesn't always work. You can do a fourm search on "VCD Header Trick" and follow a guide that way. All it really does is write a MPEG-2, but the header of the file says MPEG-1. You can do this with TMPGEnc with the MPEG Tools in the file menu (i think its the only program that can do this) by demultiplexing (maybe not, I havent read the guides as my DVD Player does support SVCD) and then multiplex and instead of putting the type as "MPEG-2 Super VideoCD (VBR)" Change it to "MPEG-1 Video-CD".
This might be wronge. Read the guides. Hope this helps. -
