  1. I downloaded a movie SVCD and when i just try and burn the .bin/.cue w/ overburn on it wont play in my DVD player

Ive extracted the .mpeg from the .bin and now i need to know what to do to get it on a CD that i can watch it on my DVD player with (yes i know my DVD players plays VCD's cause ive made them before) but this one has me stumped

ive read things about, tricking header files and reduxing or remuxing or something and i had no idea what that was all about

    thx in advance

<How To for the header trick

If you want to re-encode to VCD you can load it into TMPGEnc and convert to Mpeg 1, but you need to install a Mpeg 2 filter first like Ligos

  6. okay oaky

I found some more guides and did the header trick, ive tried the Multiplex and the Merge & Cut option but when i put the CD in my DVD player it is choppy as hell, xcept for the 1st like quarter of a second if i pause and un-pause it, it runs fine (mind u this is for a quarter of a second)

how do i encode it so it isnt choppy, i read something about chaning bitrates and such but what should i change it to (i have a pioneer dv-o5)

  8. Some players support VCDs but don't support SVCDs. Make sure that your DVD player supports the medium that you are burning. There are some "tricks" that you can do, like the VCD Header Trick. But this doesn't always work. You can do a fourm search on "VCD Header Trick" and follow a guide that way. All it really does is write a MPEG-2, but the header of the file says MPEG-1. You can do this with TMPGEnc with the MPEG Tools in the file menu (i think its the only program that can do this) by demultiplexing (maybe not, I havent read the guides as my DVD Player does support SVCD) and then multiplex and instead of putting the type as "MPEG-2 Super VideoCD (VBR)" Change it to "MPEG-1 Video-CD".

This might be wronge. Read the guides. Hope this helps.

  10. Convert to MPEG-1 then. Intall PowerDVD (just do a search on it in yahoo) which comes with MPEG-2 decompression. Then you will be able to open the SVCD in TMPGEnc. Then convert with the VCD template for a completly standerd VCD (i try to stick with standerd disks for compatibility reasons).

For some reason the new TMPGenc + 2.59 is having problems with cyberlink filter, the Ligos LX is still working just fine.

to make the svcd into vcd open the mpg2 file in dvd2avi and save as a project to a folder, make sure you pick an audio track in the dvd2avi settings, its usually track 1,after you do this open tmpg and browse for the project files you just made and load them into tmpg and load in a vcd template after, then encode away

Have you set the priority of the Ligos filter higher ?

    TMPGEnc +
    Option > Environmental setting > VFAPI plug-in > Ligos
Right click and select higher priority, do this a few times until its at the top
