    I have windows xp and a file will not defrag hiberfil.sys
    I am getting blocking during captures since this file will not defragment.

    Anyone know what this file does or how to get it defragmented

    its the hibernation file.. when your computer goes in to "hybernation mode" it uses that file to save the data it needs to come out of hybernation mode.

    Thanks I just shut hibernation off and the 8 percent of fragmented files defragmented
