    I wanna know if this card can capture a good quality video. I just wanna plug my DVD or VCR in the card and capture some videos. But I wanna good quality.

    i have its sister/cousin here
    the Prolink PixelView PlayTV HD (a mouthful )

    based on the same chipset the CX23881

    top quality

    yuo'll have to wtch out though, with this quality and HuffyUV you get soe large files.

    but its the new 10-bit chip from conexant, its the future ....

    well i havent used it myself, but i cant see why not, i think it lacks FM Radio when compared to the one i have, so it should be cheaper,
    i cant buy that card, was trying to find a dealer for it, but for this one instead,

    i think you wil have a very good card there.

    jfebus, no its not a hardware encoder, if thats what ya asking.
    but all cards can cap to mpeg2 through software,
    just gotta find good software,
    i recommend VirtualVCR, iuVCR isnt bad either
