I understand this DVD is quite compatible with VCD,SVCD & CVDs. I'm curious to whom is actually the manufacturer of this player as I believe Norcent is a Wal-mart tradestyle (ie: Sears and Kenmore).
Also are there any issues with this player I should be aware of (stability, quality, over heating, etc).
Cheers

Just bought one and all I can say is W-O-W. Plays svcds & cvds as good as my Pioneer 333 and that's saying alot. Put in a cd-r full of jpegs and played the full contents of a folder with out a hicup.
Put in a cd-r full of various mpegs I downloaded from the 'net and played them flawlessly. All this for $94.00 Canadian. Wal-mart has a winner here !
I love this unit.
I'm gonna re-post this in the review section..... -
Can I ask what is the standby button on the remote for (Norcent 300) ? Is this like a power on/off button ?
Thanks
