Hello all.. I have a lot of applications installed that I use daily, and several of them change my line-in volume when I start them, all on their own. I've looked entirely in the programs, and they don't have any setting that controls what level the line-in volume is set to. They just put it wherever the hell they want. All the way up, for example, or 1/2 way up, etc..

Now this is very annoying, because I generally NEED my line-in volume to stay at a certain level for VDub captures.. And I never know if the volume level has been messed with or not, so I always have to go and check it, etc.. WHen I forget to check I generally get recordings that are waay too loud, or not loud enough.. And all that time is wasted.

What I need is a program that runs in the system tray.. Or some other way to lock my line-in volume. So that, if a program changes it, this utility would be always running, and would return the line-in volume back to the way I want it! Or better yet would LOCK the volume to begin with so it would never change. There must be such a gem of a tool.. Does anyone know where I could find & download such a thing?

    Thx!
