After converting an AVI file to MPG in TMPGEnc I get some kind of small picture in the upper right corner of the movie. It looks like a "Renju chess board", white with some crossing lines on. The most upper right corner is marked black.
What the h... is that?
I tried both converting directly in TMPGEnc and frame serving from VirtualDub.
The movie was a small THX demo AVI to be used before the main movie as fun.

Did you convert to Mpeg 2 ?, sounds like its a trialwear of the Mpeg 2 filter, which you need to buy to remove it
or at leased don't install trialwear programs

Whatever you're playing it back with is using the Elecard direct show filter. Install a different mpeg2 playback software such as PowerDvd.

does it move at all, was it in the original avi?
it might be a timing device kind of thing as are often found on testing clips such as that..-= She sez there's ants in the carpet, dirty little monsters! =-
Back after a long time away, mainly because I now need to start making up vidcapped DVDRs for work and I haven't a clue where to start any more!
