  1. Hi

I have a load of music videos (.vob's) that I would like to burn to DVD-R - also creating motion menus along the way - but the few programs I have refuse to recognise the vobs - instead they seem to want mpg files (mpeg2)

What program should I be using?

    All help gratefully received

DVD authoring software is designed to work from elementary streams. You need to demuliplex the vob' into there m2v and ac3 streams.
Ifoedit will create ifo from vob's.

  5. Thanks wulf109 - I knew that it might be something like that. I have already tried this using Flask - but boy is that slow. I have heard that I could get it to use CCE but am unsure how to get this to work - is there a guide out there that will show me how to install CCE as a plugin for Flask. I know you can do this for Adobe Premiere - but not for Flask.

I tried IfoEdit to create the ifo's - Could not find any VOB unit in VOB files was the error I got.

I think the best way to do this is to Demux - but I want to be able to do it faster than Flask seems to be able to do.

Any more help will be appreciated.

  7. good thought musher - but how - I am pretty new to this.

So that you know what I am dealing with here - they are vob files created from TV captures.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    I'm wondering if these VOB's aren't actually just MPEG's with the extension renamed. There's more to VOB's than just a muxed A + V stream(s).

The prudent thing to do would be to rename to MPEG temporarily and demux w/ TMPGEnc. If it doesn't even accept it, it probably is a VOB (or could be corrupt ). If it does, take your elementary streams and Author in one of the usual progs (see Left <--).
