Do a search through the forums for "header trick" or "VCD header trick" or "SVCD header trick" you will get many hits and most will describe how to do it. Basically it ends up producing a SVCD file with a VCD header (so technically you are producing either an XVCD or XSVCD.) This type of file can be played in many standalone DVD players that only play VCDs.

  3. I tried the header trick today. I used TMPGenc but it gave me errors when I tried to convert it from mpeg 2 to mpeg1.
