CDI and homemade still photo VCD problems

I am trying to create a photo album using Nero 5.5 creating a VCD. Everything looks ok when I create the VCD, but when I insert the CD in my CDI player (Philips CDI 210) it does not work (I only see "ERR" in the FTD display). I know that the CDI can play VCD (I have some of them). Where is the problem? Do I need an special CD-R or CD-RW media.

You have to include the CD-i application on a VCD for it to play on a CD-i player. Nero has an option for this... was it checked?

Yes, I suppose that this application is in the folder "CDI"
