ok putting three movies on one dvd-r

ok i need help i have searched through www.vcdhelp.com looking for a tutorial on how to reencode 3 movies that will fit on one dvd-r i was told there was one on here can anyone help me? please

Help us by giving more info:

What type of movies are these? Commercial DVD's (DVD5 or DVD9)?, VCD? SVCD? Divx reencode to MPEG2? Home movies? P RNO?

What is the length of the movies and the encoding?

You want to play on a settop DVD player yes?

encode the movies with a bitrate calculator and make sure each movie is 1/3 of disc capacity

I've done 3 on one's before for kids movies but if you want to keep decent quality I'd stick to two movies on one DVD R

I have 3 on 1 DVD-R. Shreck, Star Wars II, and MIB II. Encoded with Kwag full D1 720X480 template. Looks pretty decent. Much better than VCD. Used Spruce up to create a title set and Nero to burn. Worked cool in my stand alone.

He's absolutely correct. Even with 2 movies on 1 DVD you can see the degredation of quality. Minor blocks, blur on high actions, etc.. All of this is from digital source, 100% crisp & clear, but downsampling so it fits 2x DVD causes the image loss. 3 on 1 DVD is just nasty looking. If you want any kind of lasting quality you're going to have to stick with 2/DVD.

I got Lady and the Tramp, Road to Eldorado and Emporer's New Groove all on one disc by creating just plain giant .mpg files and they look great. Of course no features at all, just big movie files.
