Ok... right off the bat: I'm not pursuing a possible pirate.. dig it:

I've got a vcd of a fishing program that my boss produced (nothing super-high profile or anything) that was made in malaysia. It could be one of two things; either it's piracy, and we don't care, _or_ my boss's partner in california has liscensed the title in asia without the producers knowledge or permission. I'm trying to see if there's any way to look at the vcd and tell where to go to say "did this person liscense this title to you?" If the partner did liscense the title, then he owes the guy who made the work (my boss) several thousand dollars. If it's a matter of piracy, my boss could care less.

things I know- the vcd is not a cd-r, it is a professionally mastered disc. there is a sticker on the case that looks like a price tag, but has something resembling a serial number. there is also a warning that the vcd is not for sale outside of malaysia. My boss says that it appears to be a copy from a master-quality original, but the video quality of the original progam was poor from the use of poor cameras.

hey, thanks for taking the time to read the off topic post.
