  1. Newbie trying LSX MPEG Encoder 3.5 + Demo to encode avi files. LSX MPEG Encoder 3.5 + will accept some for encoding but get following message for others:

    "Audio stream has unsupported format or compression type. This program supports only PCM audio format with single rates 11025, 22050, 44100, 48000 Hz."

    Can files that result in this message be converted to a supported format or compression type?

    I didn't know there were different types of avi files. Where can I find an explanation for various types of avi files?

  2. You need to pass the AVI true virtualdub(www.virtualdub.com)

    FILE -> "open the AVI"
    AUDIO -> FULL PROCESSING MODE
    -> COMPRESSION -> Select: NONE
    -> CONVERSION -> 44100Hz (=44.1kHz)
    FILE -> SAVe AS AVI

    This will result in a file of 1.5Gb (thats normal)
