  1. Hello,

Does anyone know of a DVD authoring tool that provides the following?:

    1) Support for multiple audio tracks
    2) Automatic generation of chapters (for, say, every 3 minutes of video)
    3) Automatic generation of menus based on templates (basically, I only need chapter selection and audio track selection menus)

    Thanks,

    Joel

  3. I thought DVD2SVCD was for creating SVCDs. Will it author DVD-R as well?

  5. Ok, I'll settle for automatic chapter generation and multiple audio tracks. Which authoring programs can do that?

I use Adobe Premiere 6.5 to edit my video footage (AVI) and you can use as many audio and video tracks you want, render it back as AVI, convert it to mpg2 using TMPGEnc and then use Ulead DVD MovieFactory just for authoring and creating you desired chapters.
If you want to use only one application ... like those all in one, remeber one thing, they cannot be good for every domain. They might be good for authoring, chapters, but the mpg encoding ... isn't so good.

  7. Can DVD MovieFactory take two separate audio inputs and make them selectable from a DVD player like separate languages in a commercial DVD?

    Bump 8)

I´m really interested in that subject, too. I capture Laserdiscs and want to put the the contained audio commentary on the DVD, as well as the original sound. How can it be done? I own Studio 8 and have downloaded all the Freeware-stuff, although I only got satisfying results from Studio 8. Any help would be appreciated.

  10. I did review couple of products (still a lot ahead, follow link in my signature) and only Pinnacle Impression DVD Pro in my list supports multiple audio tracks.

Hey donpedro, what happened to your avatar?

Checked out your site before, lots of information, thank you. Too bad only the 400 bucks programm suits my needs. I guess, I´m gonna have to keep lookin´.

Used your Studio 8-tutorial, as well. Good work, thanks for that, too.

  12. I like DVD Maestro. But it will not make automatic menus (I don't know any program that will, maybe Udead DVD Movie Factory).
