Im trying to use rempeg 2 program to make a dvd that is over 4 gigs to put on a 4 gig dvd. I ripped my dvd to my harddrive and cant figure out how to find the main movie files to use in rempeg 2. Rempeg 2 wants me to find the title that has the main movie and make a list of each .vob file on the movie of the main movie. The problem is I dont know how many .vob files are in my title number. And ive read cretins guid to dvd ripping in 40 easy steps and am stumped. Help!!! Thanks

  2. i had this problem if you open ifoedit open your first vob. hit the tools button (top left) select create rempeg2 cffl.
this will save a file in the same place as your vobs
open rempeg hit open and select the cffl file this will direct it to all the vobs

    hope this helps

Im still confused. Im not sure if it is in iso mode, but it should be the default mode. What Im confused about is the integration between note pad and Rempeg2. Im not sure how to make them work together. Because in the guide, it asks me to identify the main movie in Ifo edit. I can identiy the main movie which is usually the one with the most chapters, Say 30 or so. At this point im good. The part im having trouble with is Re-encoding the movie to fit on dvd. Here are the steps it asks me where im stuck.

    Load notepad

Open the file in your ReMpeg folder called sample.cffl

Edit sample.cfll so it contains each of the .VOB files for your main movie.

This is the part wher i get stuck. Because looking back at ifo edit, I cant see the number of .VOB files in the main movie. However i know the entire movie with extras menus etc, I know how many .Vobs the whole disc has.

It know says Save it and close down note pad.

Open Rempeg. Click on Open and load sample.cffl.

Rempeg will go away and display loads of meaningless numbers above. It says it will take about fifteen minutes.

The problem is I cant seem to successfully get to this point that i should be at.
