    This is what I do:

I started with downloading a movie (.avi, divX) with AC3 sound in.

I used the Headac3he software to reenoced the ac3 audio to mp2 audio, and this part worked fine.

Then I started TMpgEnc and used the wizard as described in the "how to" section for SVCD on VCDhelp.com.

This looked like it did that part allright too.

Then I used MaestroSBT to make subtitles from a .ssa file, and the result was a lot of .bmp (4 bit, uncompressed) and a .sub (for SubMux).

Then I used WinSubMux to Mux the old .mpg with the subtitles from MaestroSBT, and this process finnished without any errormessages at all.

Finnaly I used VCDEasy to make The SVCD image and actually burn the SVCD.

BUT !!!! No subs shows up on my standalone player, and I DO remember to select a subtitle stream on the player.

To make a little more weird I have downloaded the SVCD PAL sample from vcdhelp.com, and when I burn this image to a SVCD it works...

I guess my trouble starts somewhere between MaestroSBT and VCDEasy, but I have tried a lot of ways to get there.....

Can anyone please help me?? What am I doing wrong ??? Are there any special considerations to have in mind when doing any of these steps.

What resolutions must I use in MaestroSBT, and what subtext colors...

    PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE HELP !!!!!
