Deleting last VOB/Chapter or credits. Help needed.

I read the posts on actually how to delete the vob from where you want, but is it as easy as that?

Do I have to edit the Ifo or can I simply delete the last VOB?

Doing LOTR Extended Disc 2 and the crdeits span 3 chapters!

If I can delete the last 2 after stripping streams etc I can delete 1 whole VOB and this will give me enough space to put it on DVDR.

Do I alter the settings for the cell ID it has (same as chapter, 21+22) in IfoEdit?

Use the split to 2dvd method in ifoedit and split the last 3 chapters onto the 2nd disc and delete it.
update the vts sectors as normal on the first disc and ur there.
