    1 -I bought a Pioneer DV-344 two days ago and I used Nero 5.5 to make a videocd...I fix my mpeg1 videos re-encoding than with the own Nero...and when I tried to run it in my DVD player the image quality was horrible...I tried to run original videocd too...the image quality was regular,but not what I expect comparing with the VHS image quality,you guys think the problem is my DVD player?

    2-When I try to run PAL videocds(the player change for PAL) in this player the image shake down and up...so..I change for NTSC system and it's look like to play normal....stanger hun?

    3-There is difference between vcd player quality of differents dvd players?

    1.) You sentence does not compute. Are you saying your fixing your non-standard MPEG's by re-encoding?
    If so, you are loosing picture quality.

    2.) PAL and NTSC have different frame rates. Your video was probally done at 29.97FPS which is NTSC. When you play in PAL, it has no idea how to compensate.

    3.) Oh yes, Some DVD players are VCD machines, capable of playing XVCD with the weirdest combantions of bitrate and size.

    On the other hand, some demand strict White Book compatiblity and some only handel Stamped Comerical VCD's.
