  1. Im running v55917 and my concern is how come I cannot select lower speed. I know it detects my media speed, but it would not let start at lower speed like 1x, 2x, etc. In general, how come it doens't let me pick any speed, as long that it's equal or lower than the speed my media is capable of. Right now it start like 8x, 12x and up.

Its probably detecting what your writer can do, and your writer may not be able to write at those speeds...

Why you using an old Nero ?

  4. Can you be more specific ? What are you trying to burn ? CD or DVD ? How is it rated ?

KingJohn is correct, most likely your burner can not burn at low speeds. Most current high-speed burners have firmware that won't allow burning a CD-R at less than 8x, so that matches pretty well with what you describe.

  6. well....I guess I cant' and it's the hardware part, but CDRwin would let me burn my vcd at 1x so my only alternative if I want better quality is to convert it to bin/cue. So my main question now is would I lose quality if I convert my mpg to bin/cue? So far it's been sucessful and I can hardly notice any differences between a nero or a cdrwin vcd. My bin/cue prog option is between VCDEASY and VCDImagerGUI, which is better? Got other recomendations? BTW...for VCDImagerGUi, you can select multipple files to convert, but how does it know what files come first?
