Could really do with a bit of help from someone in the know.

In short, i'm not really a computer wizard, yet really do want to start copying DVD's onto SVCD/VCD. Been looking around at all-in-one software, as don't really have the time to work it with freeware.

I'm really looking for some advice as to some software that i can purchase that will do the job, with the minimum of effort.

Examples i've seen are: DVD Squeeze / DVD Wizard pro etc

    Any advice would be appreciated
    Thanks,

    Si

    DVD2SVCD

You can accept the defaults and get a good rip. You can tweak the settings and get a great rip ( this generally involves 2 vs 3 vs 4 CD versions of a movie ). Does subs, multi Audio....and AC3 sound.

  5. If you are very new to this stuff, i would recommend EazyVCD from eazyvcd.tk. Its a very simple all in one program that makes VCD/SVCD/XVCD/XSVCD in a few clicks. If you would like to have more freedom then i would recommend DVD2SVCD as it has lots of more options.

Just want to say a big thanks to all of you for responding. I have to admit, i was a bit wary about using such a forum for such a simple questions, as i really didn't much fancy the handbags at dawn experienced by poor old 'Disover Platinum'. See the question above.

Anyway, i'm going to give DVD2SVCD a try with a TMPEG encoder. No doubt there may be a few questions in the process, but once agin thanks for the advice.
    Thanks,

    Si
