  1. recently encoded a movie using Tmpegenc as an XVCD. The mpeg will playback fine on my computer, and i burned it using nero and unclicking "Create Standard Compliant CD." It seemed to burn fine, however when playing it on my DVD player (philips DVD624) it would stutter every couple of seconds. It seemed like it was only a stutter in the audio. I reburned it at a much slower speed. It did the same thing. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Please don't post same msg in several forum. Once is enough.

What XVCD settings are you using? like video and audio bitrate?

  5. The DVD compatability list has a question mark next to XVCD. My Dvd player plays the video just fine. It LOOKS excellent, the sound, however, stutters and is rather annoying. The XVCD looks scrambled on all the other DVD players in the house.
