  1. I've converted video to MPEG (using a KVCD template) and forgot to normalize the audio. So the audio level is very low. What tool can be used to normalize the audio in an existing MPEG without having to reencode the video?

    demux the audio/ video -> use goldwave or soundforge or other audio editor and either increase the volume or normalize it (which i don't like much ussually as i like dynamics ) .

    Normalisation has nothing to do with the dynamics of a sound. It just raises the overall amplification so that the audio peaks at 100% modulation (or whatever value you set it at). To alter the dynamics, you need to compress the audio.
