whats the most i can actually put on a DVD+R? i captured some footage from my VHS in DVD compliant format. is there a max in minutes that i can use? and whats the max in gigs i can put? i heard 4.3 gigs. any replies will be appreciated

DVDr is 4.3 Gigs as you say. As to how many minutes of video this is, its all down to bitrate. VHS qualty will easily fit 2 hours on a disk. Use a bitrate calculator to determine your encoder settings, there are several in the tools section.
