  1. When I create a bin/cue using vcdeasy, my bin stays about the same size as the encoded mpg., but when I got to burn using Nero 5.5, it says It wont burn it because the file is too big. (it will show a file size double the size of my bin) under the "burn image">"info" tab

My cue file looks like this:
    FILE "C:\PROGRA~1\VCDEasy\KUNGPO~1.BIN" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    INDEX 00 00:04:00
    INDEX 01 00:06:00

I have tried removing the first line:
    " TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00" and it goes back to its regular size but it only burns the vcd without menus, and you cant pause, rwd or fwd, only play
    Any help will be appreciated!
    Thanx
    Ronald
PS also is there a way to get around the half a second pause when going from chapter to chapter when authoring usin Nero?
    Thx again

Why not just burn from VCDEasy then? I suspect it is not working for you. To fix VCDeasy (so you can burn) open VCDEasy, in the bottom right corner, does it say ASPI seems valid: yes, or ASPI seems valid: no? If it says ASPI seems valid: no, that is your main problem. In that case I suggest you go to: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/frcaspi.cfm , download the ForceASPI drivers, install them and reboot. If after you reboot, it shows "ASPI seems valid: yes" then on the CDRDAO settings page, select generic-mmc as the force driver for the CD Writer, select your specific CD Writer in the dropdown menu for that section and check the force execution box. Now you should be able to burn using CDRDAO, which is the CD burning program built in to VCDEasy.

  3. (1) You cannot avoid the gap/pause between tracks on a VCD (even if you set the time to zero)
    (2) You need to update your version of Nero. The newer versions of Nero makes a much better effort at correctly supporting CUE/BIN images. Alternatively, use CDRDAO / VCDEasy or CDRWin.

  5. What did you do? How did you try to make the menu? What/how didn't it work?
