I downloaded DVDXCOPY in December for $99.99 and have since found out it can be purchased in electronic stores for $79.99. I requested a refund or $20 rebate from Studio 123 but they have yet to respond. Anyone else have this problem?![]()

I saw it was on sale to. but I figure my 20 bucks can go to the cause of protecting our rights to own backups. They probably sold a lot of these programs and were not prepared to have an overwhelming amount of people buy it and then ask for the difference back. But look at it this way I am sure if you made 1 or 2 backups you already got your 20 bucks back

No I never buy from the web. If u look at any item sold from the maker it is always more expensive on the web than the store. Stores can sell items less because they do not usually have to worry about one person having to ship package and prepair orders. You go into best buy buy what u want and check out, this al has to be done by a few persons at the makers distro center. So I would say lesson never buy from web unless u have to.

Anyone here who has DVDxCOPY and a DVD burner has more than satisfied the cost of both of these items, maybe 2-3 times over.
Should the people that paid $500 for a burner get $150 bucks back because they are cheaper, or the $4 blanks are now $1, should they get there money back, NO, you pay the higher price for the privelage of having it before everyone else does. -
if you paid for it online for 100.oo you get lifetime upgrades free. retail dont.

You could by 80 or 100 bucks for it, or you could download freeware utils and spend 30 minutes learning how to use them for free

ditto on the lifetime upgrades. You must buy it by Jan31 online to get the free lifetime upgrades. The retail box will only be 1 year of free upgrades. Will pay for itself if they stay alive after all the lawsuits.

He didn't really change his mind...you still miss out on lifetime upgrades if you only paid retail. He is offering an upgrade path now, which he should, since many people that bought at the cheap price didn't realize what they were missing out on.
