    HI,
    I can't play my SVCDs on Windows media player.. so I followed what some forums said and installed the program http://www.maximusdvd.com/freedvdcodecs.htm to get the mpeg-2 codec, but It still doesn't work....
    Is there some other site I can get the MPEG-2 codec? pls help

    Download and install the Nimo coedec pack found under tools. When you try to watch a mpeg2 in WMP it will first try to dowload the codec and then say that it has encountered an error but it should still play, the aspect ratio will be messed up. I would suggest getting PowerDvd to play mpeg2's though, it will play them correctly.

    PowerDVD can play your MPEG-2's with no problems. So can WinDVD. :P
