  1. I just wonder about the DTS sound. I can't use it with my turtle beach soundcard, and i detected that it took over 1 gb of space when I should do a backup of THE OTHERS, whitout the DTS sound the movie did fit in nice on a 4,7 gb without no encoding 8) !

So I just wounder when or to what do I use the DTS sound ???

You need a receiver or sound card that can decode DTS sound. Some DVD players have a built decoder for Dolby Digital and/or DTS. There are web sites you can check out for the difference between the two, but I believe DTS uses a higher sampling rate for the audio, thus resulting in overall better tonality. If the DVD has both and you want to sane some space or are trying to make it fit on a single layer DVD, I would say just rip the Dolby 5.1 track.

if you want the dts track (which sounds better) you will have to also have an ac3 track (can be just a low bit rate 2ch track)
