After being disappointed with all the virtualdub deinterlacing filters and their results on my DC10+ MJPEG captured avis I decided to check out Lead Tools demo multimedia pack ftp://ftp.leadtools.com/pub/V13/Eval/Multimedia/LEADTOOLSMultimedia(EVAL).exe
Included in all this 'stuff' is the direct show filter LMVDEITR.DLL The rest of the package is a limited 30 day demo but this is just a filter and if copied elsewhere and registered (regsvr32 /s lmvdeitr.dll) stays available in graphedt after uninstalling the package.
The results are excellent with no blur on motion and no hotspots from smart bob or smart weave. You have to know how to use graphedt and I make it easy on myself and use avienc.ax to reencode to Divx 5.02. I haven't tried it on DV footage yet but I did try it on my interlaced SigmaDesigns DVR MPEG 2 captures and it worked very well (much better than the deinterlacing engine in Xmpeg 4.5 and without frameserving or avisynth scripting hassles).
For those who playback on monitors or projectors and are looking for a fast easy WDM way to deinterlace I recommend it.
