Can't play SVCD...

I have edited a home made DV using Pinnacle studio 7 and converted this to mpeg2. Then I used Nero to burn a svcd to be able to look at the film on a DVD-player. But it doesn't work despite the DVD-player supports svcd.

What have I done wrong???

Did you try with CD-RW?

You did select create svcd in Nero right? the svcd should look like this http://www.vcdhelp.com/svcd#struct

Did you read the compatibiliy list comments? Maybe it didn't work for some(different dvd player firmware or something).

Honestly, God knows, but the first place to start is to grab one of the SVCD sample files from here and try that. The point of this is to eliminate Nero and your DVD player as the cause , which will make sorting out your problem a lot easier.

Sounds like Pinnacle studio, might be producing invalid Mpeg 2 files.

Super Video-CD NTSC (MPEG-2 480x480 29.97fps CBR 2520kbps, Layer-2 44100Hz 224kbps)
