I have a Compaq Presario 700mhz computer with a 20gig HD. It had 64MB of memory but I just added another 128, giving me 196MB.
I did this because I was getting a "not enough memory" message on my screen when I tried to convert a WMV to VCD. The WMV was created from a digital camcorder using XP, and I only was able to convert about 4% of the file before getting the memory message.
After install additional RAM I was able to get up to 22%. How much more RAM do I need? I am also getting a Virtual Memory message as well what do I need to do about this?
I'd appreciate any help.![]()

Have you checked that your C: drive has plenty of free space.
Windows uses this as virtual memory.
