    Here it is. My parents recently bought a dvd player which is quite good as it plays cdr, cdrw and is mp3 campatible. But when i went and tried to play a vcd and a svcd it said format not supported. Now the question is, is it possible to take a downloaded .avi or .mpg file and convert it to a format which would play on my dvd. If someone could help that would be much appreciated. THANX.

    Look up your DVD model in the players list here on this site. It'll tell you what it will and won't play.
    Sometimes, ya just gotta.....umm, what's the word........FART???
