  1. I have DV camcorder, and have Ulead videostudio6, and want to create
SVCD's to play on my DVD player, simple !. As a tester I have created one, 2 minute disc which plays fine ! So wheres the problem you ask !

File formats and Encoders ! Theres a vast array of these, with everyone
saying i use this particular one and it's the best !

Simply, I want to know, what format do I save from the DV camcorder
into VS6, AVI or MPEG2, if AVI is best, do I use TMPGenc or use VS6 to
encode, and if MPEG2 is best why does VS6 seem to re-encode when I create a disc, if it's already in MPEG2 format which is used to create SVCD ?

I would like to use just a single program to do the job so if there are better reasonably priced all in one proggies out there please let me know.

    New Noob.

  2. Right, I also have Ulead Video studio 6, start a new project and capture video into dv avi, now you then put this avi through tmpgenc, if you want qood quality you can use the wizard in TMPGenc and simply encode as an SVCD mpeg. you can then burn as an SVCD by reloading video studio 6, go straight to finish and open up the mpeg, select export and use the dvd plugin which will allow you to burn to SVCD.
    I dunno...it might work
