Wrong Firmaware update - DVD useless!!!

Ok, I acted stupid!
I used the firmware update of STi5519 (from www.veseg.de) , on my BlueSky 100 (STi5508, mainboard 12MB03-00).
Now, what?
The DVD player is useless!
Is there somenthing I could do to bring it back to life?

You can reflash your firmware using a JTAG interface. See STiControl.

You'll have to locate the proper firmware image for your DVD player, also. Do a search with Google.

Now the player is back to normal!

I did the same thing..... I had a cyberhome adl528, onto which i tried to flash firmware version 0827.

This failed during the install and now the machine is buggared.

Need to fix this, but don't have a clue about this jtag interface thing.....

If ne1 knows how to do this and would do it for mne for a nominal fee, let me know

STicontrol (http://www.powewrglitch.com/sticontrol.html) is a very self explanatory place, regarding the resurrection of your DVD player. I don't know though if it ''ll work for you (it works on STi 5508 and 5519 chips).
