  1. It has been over a year since I have started video editing, and till today I still have not achieved my target of converting 20 odd old NTSC Video 8 tapes onto DVD after cutting out the boring stuff.

After spending more $$$, I have managed to eliminated most of my previous problems, but still left with some problems on my footage before it is watchable. Using a combination of the ADVC-100 and the Matrox X100, I have now successfully converted my old Video 8 tapes to DV AVI. Three problems remain:

1, The original video was taken by myself with a handycam that did not have and shaky hand feature. Being a bad videographer as I am, the footage makes anyone watching the video seasick. I have hear that there are some programs or Premiere plugins that can help fix this?

2, Being old, the colors on the video is very dull. Is there any program I can use to fix this?

3, When converting into DV.AVI there is always a vertical black line on the left side of video, and a the think distorted horizontal line on the bottom. Any solutions to the problem?

    Thank you for your help.
    :P

i think that i have one solution for you... i had that problem with video that i was viewing in the editing program vegas video... i unselected keep aspect ratio and checked fill screen and that took care of vertical black bar on the right... as for adding the steady shot thing the only thing that i could think of (note: very very time consuming) you could zoom in on the frame like 5 percent then you could go through it frame by frame slight moving the viewing area and tilting the picture...
    good luck with your project
You win some, and you lose some, and some get rained out...
