Its an old movie but i like it, and decided to convert it across to svcd, yeah right lol.
Problem: There is 38 chapters on the dvd, only 32 of them are used for the movie, 6 chapters are repeats. The doubled chapters are scenes from the Directors Cut. On top of all these they decided to store the directors cut chapters at the start of the 38 chapters, so the movie actually starts at the 4th chapter, so I need to rearrange the order of vobs and remove the 6 unneeded chapters to get the movie in the right order.
Outcome: Serious audio/video sync in both mpeg-1 ,mpeg-2
Tried Methods: Straight as is encode, Using dvd2avi to arrange the chapters(vobs) and frameserving stright into tmpgenc and cce,Using dvd2svcd to arrange the vobs and encode with both tmpgenc and cce, Encoding and editing the audio stream to attempt lip sync, Renaming all the needed VOB's in the correct order and creating an ifo with ifoEdit then encoding with that.
Has anyone succesfully encoded this movie? or anyone come across a similar issue who could share some info that might be what I need?
sorry for the long post, and thanks for reading 8)
