  1. Im trying to extract the audio in virtual dub, to PCM wav, the file information is below-



    but when i try and do this in full processing mode, i get this error-



    any ideas?[/img]

    OK I've had this prob myself and have messed with LOTS of ways to sort it and this is the quickest...... Load your xvid into TMPG, then go to file - output to file - WAVE file will save the wave out which u can put into virtual dub and it works

    You can't decompress the audio if you don't have the codec installed. Vdub is telling you you don't have the audio codec.You can extract the audio, copy it exactly, but that won't help you.


    48000Hz smells of AC3, install the AC3 codec?

  5. i have the codec installed, because when i play it in WMP i can hear the audio :/

    First open your avi in Virtualdub. Go to the audio tab and select direct stream copy. Then select save wav in the file menu. After that rename the wav extension to ac3 and convert with headac3he.
