  1. Anybody have an idea how to recompress in Virtualdub from xvid to divx?

I know I will lose a little quality but willing to do that for less headache on encoding.

I have frameserved previous xvid from virtualdub to TMPGEnc but they tend to get a weird 'go a little out of sync then back in sync' tpye thing and it's a little annoying

Thanks in advance for any help.

dont understand why u having probs with xvid? have u saved out sound as uncompressed wave, aand loaded the wave into virtualdub before serving, works OK for me. Anyway in virtual dub go to video, set full processing mode and go to compression, select the compression mode (divx, etc) and configure the quality settings. then save your avi with new filename. But it takes AGES and sorting out the quality configs may take u some time to get the quality u want......
