  1. Hello all,

I just recently reformatted and installed the DivX 5 codec and Xvid codec and PowerDivx NextGen Player. The computer is running Win XP Pro and has a Geforce 4 Ti 4200. I am using only a TV as a monitor via S-video cable, as this is a home theater PC. I have the latest Nvidia drivers 41.09.

    The problem is this....

When playing movies they play fine in PowerDivX and Windows Media Player, it is only when I switch to full screen that the video becomes distorted. It kinda reminds me of interlacing problems, jagged horizontal picture, but I am not sure. The films I have tried were both Xvid video w/ MP3 audio, 23 fps. The thing is I have gotten the films to play fine on this same computer before hooked up to a TV. Only since I reformatted is this full screen distortion happening. Also their appears a vertical bar on the far left side of the screen when in full screen mode.

    any suggestions ?

  2. An update to my problem incase anyone is having the same....

I found out that with the Nvida Geforce 4 cards you must make sure NVKeystone is activated in order to properly display full screen movies on your TV through the S-video out. This I believe is part of Nview 2.0 ?

I also found that under options within NVKeystone the 1st and 2nd box had to be checked for me. I forgot what they were....I will go back and check and re-post.

anyways...hope this helps anyone in the future....maybe I just needed to read a manual on nvidia's site somewhere ???
