I'm stuck.I am trying to use RecordNow Max to burn my two files (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) that contain my Ifo edit files but RNM keeps giving me an error and will not burn. The only thing that I see that is different from the Ifo edit files and the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files of a DVD compiled by DVD Maestro is the *.LAY file is in the DVD Maestro VIDEO_TS and not in the Ifo edit files other then that all is the same.
I am trying to convert to RecordNow after being burned by Nero one to many times.

What is the error exactly, because RecNow doesn't care about what you burn if your in data mode. My guess is that the files are too big to fit a DVD or the DVD-R is not recognized.

RecordNow Max, spit disc out, no message but the obvious failed...error one.

I'm in the process of doing this right now (catch me if you can, rather
watch it on 1 dvdr then 3 cd's).
Anyhow, what I did (and we'll see if works in a few minutes) is merged
all three files together (mpegs) then demuxed them (doing this now).
Then I'm gonna load it in maestro and author.

I'm also trying to use RNM. I've just downloaded the demo version and all I can find is Global Image ability. I can find no place in RNM where they mention anything about DVD let alone, DVD+RW. I know there are others that really love RNM, but in looking at the software, functions, etc. it looks more like software focused at CD recording. There is not one item on any menu that even mentions DVD. How would that give anyone any confidence that DVD will work.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks to the help from many other post in this forum, I was alble to get RecordnowMax to work for me. Once I got past the mental block that Video just looks like "Data" to "Some" recorder, I was able to make some progress in RNM. I tried the wizard first and it is so automatic I burnt the first disk wrong,... why,.. because the defaults set into the Wizard for "Data" mode,... are for data,... and it wrote the disk in Track at once and left the disk open. Thank heavans it was a DVD+RW disk.
Then for the second effort, I erased the disk in Nero, since I know how to do that and went back into to RNM. Guess what,,.. it said the disk was not erase. I check again in Nero and it said it was empty. So I had RNM erase it,.. it took probably 5 seconds, so I don't know what it was erasing.
Once inside of RNM, I studied all the folders and found out there are considerable options that can be set. Inside the options window there are 11 sub sections, each with a window and multiple check boxes. One thing I did see is that there is really only one option in RNM for burning and that is Track at Once,.. either open or closed. The second time I burned, I set it for "Closed", but the funny thing is,... when finished succesfully, and I checked it again in RNM, it shows up as "DVD Open Multiborder(DVD F8)... So I don't know if it is open or closed. It will play in my APEX 1500 and not in my Sylvania DVD. That is not a supprise, as the only disk I've ever made that played in the Sylvania DVD is a DVD+R disk that I used Bitsetter on and forced it to be DVD-ROM. It was burnt with Nero. Inside of Nero, when I look at a disk burnt in RNM, it shows up as UDF/ISO9660 (mode1), and this is an option in Nero so why wouldn't they be the same. There not, because when I burnt the same disk in Nero in DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO) and checked ISO9660, ISO level 1, UDF 1.02., it failed in my APEX and in PowerDVD.
Does anyone know of a detailed Analysis software that will read a DVD creation and show in detail how it was burnt and with what bits set.
Also, I've heard that the reflectivity of DVD+RW and DVD_ROM are different and that may be the reason only DVD+R will work in my Sylvania.
Please add you comments and suggestion. Also, I would thing it would be very easy for someone to write a short guide for RNM, for all the settings internal it can be very easy for anyone to make a mistake, especially beginners."Technology",...It's what keeps us all moving forward. -
Upgrade to RecordNow DX.
All you do is drag your Audio_ts and Video_ts and it will recognize it as dvd and burn accordingly.

NYplayer,... Thanks for the link,.. I will keep it around,.. but for right now, I've already invested too much time on both Nero and RNM to jump to another burner,... that I know anything about, except that I've seen the Japanese web site for RNDX and they have significant problems.
I've seen no posts in this forum boasting about RnDX."Technology",...It's what keeps us all moving forward.
