  1. Hi !
Sorry for this question, I'm totally new with DVD-R so please help. So If you want to copy DVD Movie, i will need 2 DVD-R ( or DVD-R 2 side ) ??? There are no way to fit on 1 disc ??? Thanks.

** I'm think they may sale DVD-R that will fit the Movie, because in Asia they can copy all the movie and fit in one disc. So i think the disc that they use to copy just like Movie disc ( around 7GB ). Unless they doing something to make it fit on 1 disc.

It depends....first you need to find out if the dvd is dual layer or not. If it is (most new dvd's are) then you will likely need two disks.

Dual layer means that it is above 4.7 gb by writing additional information in between the first layer. A lot of times the additional things are deleted scenes, other languages, etc.

If the dvd is under 4.7 gb it can easily be copied using a handful of programs. DVDxcopy, DVD Decrypter are my favs.

DVDxCopy is very simple..in terms of splitting a dual layer dvd into 2 discs and its seems to work well. I suggest getting some RW's until you get good. I wasted a ton of money and dvd-r's trying to figure out the whole process.

  3. Thanks for reply. Most the movie that i check are around 7 GB so what mean i need 2 DVD-R to copy the movie. If we remove like kind like feature or trail is that will make it fit on one disc ??? I guess i have to deal with 2 disc now until the coming out 9.3 GB DVD-R.

  4. Well you can use DVD2DVDR 1.3.4 and take off enough stuff like subs and extra audio to sometimes fit it all on one DVD or just re-encode it I can do a 2pass VBR in 3 hours and the 6-8 gig movies I have re-encoded look just like the originals, mind you the 3 hours is just the begining it will be about a 4-5 hour total time once you start, rip, encode, burn and pop it in the DVD player.
